So you have got time to get to know your fellow travellers in the camp. The first evening fades away at a bonfire among Africa’s starry sky.
Dinner: camping

2nd day     Maun – Okavango Delta
Today you will get to your first safari destination in the Okavango Delta. The Okavango Delta in Botswana consists of a labyrinth of waterways, islands, marshes and flood areas. Dependent on the amount of precipitation the Okavango Delta is flooded with huge bodies of water during the rain period from May to July. During the following months, the water level sinks again, but some permanent surfaces of water remain.
This fascinating landscape in Botswana is the livelihood and habitat to numerous kinds of game.
Here, you will go on extensive safaris and spend the night in a camp.

4th day     Okavango Delta – Moremi Reserve
Your next bush camp in Botswana is located in the Khwai flood area. The whole Moremi Reserve is one of the most beautiful reserves in South Africa. It is located in the north east of the Okavango Delta.

Different landscapes have been integrated to one reserve and your camp is in the middle of it. Apart from the typical river and marsh landscape of the actual delta the tree savannah and mopane forests are the basis for an incredible abundance of animals and birds. This variety of habitats of this area in Botswana enables you to watch animals and birds when you are in this area.

The Chobe National Park has the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa. Big herds of e.g. buffalos, zebras and several kinds of antelope move through the park; the dense populations of carnivores, especially lions and hyenas, are influenced by it. The park is famous for its big elephant herds.

The inhabitants call the Victoria Falls “Mosi o Tunya” – thundering smoke. Of course you have got to visit the national park. There is a way on the opposite of the falls. Every viewpoint provides you with a fantastic panorama! After the rainy season huge amounts of water runs down across the overall length of 1700m into a canyon that is about 100m deep.

Both in the small town Victoria Falls and in Livingstone you can go on numerous activities; e.g. you can fly above the falls in a helicopter, go on a boat trip on the Zambezi above and rafting beneath the falls.
