Karoo – Thabile Lodge

The Thabile Lodge is located between Oudtshoorn and De Rust surrounded by the beauty of the little Karoo. It's a working guest farm for dairy products and has it's own ostriches.

The farm has 6 recently built semi-detached cottages. Each one with its own patio and a wonderful view onto the Karoo mountains.

The main house provides nice recption rooms e.g. a bar and TV lounge and a spacious and shaded outside verandah. A delicious 3-course dinner is served on the verandah or in the cosy dining room. Enjoy true South African hospitality and a sense of atmosphere like in "Out of Africa".

On the farm premises you will also find an outside pool in the lovely garden and a new cabin with a jacuzzi, steam bath and a small gym! Relax and enjoy.........

Oudtshoorn, the capital of the little Karoo, is easily reached by car in only 15 minutes. From there you have the choice of several ostrich farms, the Wildlife Cango Ranch and the world famous Cango Caves where only 10% is accessible by the public.
